Learning From My Betting Failures
First to clarify why I write this essay. I have been wagering online or at land-based casinos for many years. I have learned, the dependency can take a hold of you and you won’t even realize it until you are beaten. Especially if you’re on a winning run. I’ve gone through many thousands of dollars in a very tiny amount of time and to this day on occasion, I’ll go too far. It appears you are just having fun until you start to be aware of your squanderings and the guilt settles in, and then you keep telling yourself "I can win it back" constantly. It does not works. Then you feel queasy in your belly and the harder you try the quicker you are deprived.
When you see that you’re up, remain on the UP! When you begin to be beaten, do not tell yourself, "well perhaps one more" and again and again, trust me, this plan hardly ever works. Say you’re betting on slot games, have an amount set aside prior to starting your play. DO NOT exceed that boundary, regardless how tempting. If you actually succeed, put that in a separate cup. Do not spend your winnings no matter what. As soon as you have gambled through your original set limit, bail out. Leave, regardless if it is online or at a land based betting house, don’t stick around. Always keep in mind, there is going to be another day, a different time.
Always remember, wagering is supposed to be FUN not backbreaking, nauseating work! If you aren’t having fun yourself, you do not belong there. If youcan’t manage the cost, don’t even begin.
